Delayed dental treatment can cost thousands

Diana, a mother of three, had her front teeth implanted at a dental clinic and can now smile freely. As Diana herself says: “It’s still hard to believe that I have new teeth and such a beautiful smile. It will probably take time to get used to it. But I feel very good. It seems like my biggest dream has come true. Because when I was in such trouble, I didn’t dream of winning the lottery or getting better new things, I dreamed of having my own teeth, being able to smile and finally eat like everyone else. Diana lost part of her teeth in an accident and when she started treatment, her dentist made her temporary teeth. They are guaranteed to last 3 months. The young mother of three, who works in the service sector, says that a few months ago she would never have believed that she would be able to enjoy a white smile again.

“This is a situation that happens quite often when people have a difficult dental condition, the cost of treatment is high, but the financial possibilities are limited, so the treatment keeps getting postponed until a better time. This is what happened to Diana. She had started treatment and had temporary teeth made that should last for 3 months. However, due to her poor financial situation, Diana had to live with these temporary teeth for 2 years. During all this time, the patient was under stress because she was ashamed of her teeth during every conversation, she did not want to interact much, and she avoided smiling or laughing in front of others. In addition, after a CT scan, we saw that the absence of teeth had caused bone loss, which made the treatment even more complicated. The sinus had to be lifted, the bone had to be re-grown and then the implant had to be placed. Diana needed 6 dental implants. Then we used zirconia ceramics to replace all the teeth,” says dentist Tomas Stumbrys, head of the Papadent dental clinic.

It took half a year from the day Diana first visited the Papadent clinic until she was able to enjoy the result. Kaip jaučiatės po pusę metų trukusio dantų gydymo?
Vis dar sunku patikėti, kad turiu naujus dantis ir tokią gražią šypseną. Turbūt reikės laiko prie to priprasti. Bet savijauta labai gera. Atrodo, jog išsipildė didžiausia svajonė. Nes užklupus tokiai bėdai, aš nesvajojau apie laimėjimą loterijoje ar geresnius naujus daiktus, svajojau turėti savo dantis, galėti šypsotis ir pagaliau valgyti kaip visi kiti žmonės. Dabar žinau, kad svajonės tikrai pildosi.
Aplinkiniai taip pat pastebėjo Jūsų išvaizdos pasikeitimus?
Reakcijų tikrai buvo daug. Pirmiausia, tai trys mano vaikai, o ir visi kiti aplinkiniai labai laukė, koks bus rezultatas, smalsavo, kaip atrodysiu po procedūros. Juolab, kad dar prieš procedūrą labai daug kalbėdavau apie pasirinktą kliniką ir gydymo eigą. Gal iš pradžių buvo jauduliuko, bet dabar labai džiaugiuosi savo pasirinkimu, nes esu patenkinta ne tik rezultatu, bet ir klinikos kolektyvo bendravimu. Po procedūros mane pamatę aplinkiniai neslėpė nuostabos ir džiaugsmo. Sulaukiau labai daug komplimentų ir negaliu nustoti šypsotis.
Ar buvo sunku išsirinkti tinkamą odontologijos kliniką?
Žinoma, pirmiausia žiūrėjau į Juk tai tikrai labai svarbus faktorius. Peržiūrėjau visus įkeltus video įrašus. Domėjausi ir kitomis klinikomis, nes pirmai operacijai pasiruošimas užtruko tikrai ilgai, nenorėjau priimti blogo sprendimo. Tačiau kai dar kartą paskaičiau tiek daug teigiamų atsiliepimų internete, galiausiai apsisprendžiau. Dabar dėl šio sprendimo esu labai patenkinta. Dabar įvertinusi dar ir kainos bei kokybės santykį, nekyla net minčių eiti į kitą kliniką.
